Details
The COMSTAR full duplex wireless intercom system allows up to 8 users to communicate simultaneously with no delay or voice activation making it ideal for applications where users require the full use of their hands. Users can be split into 2 groups of 4 people or brought together in conference mode. The system is self tuning and requires no remote antenna.
Each headset connects wirelessly to the Com-Center at distances of up to 400 yards in any direction, allowing for a maximum distance of 800 yards between headsets. Ear cushions and padded headbands offer lasting comfort. Integrated controls make volume adjustment and field programming easy. The positionable, windscreened, boom microphone offers provides excellent vocal pickup and clarity. A rechargeable lithium battery provides up to 10 hours of operation.
A rechargeable NiMH battery provides the Com-Center with power for up to 6 hours. An AC wall plug and a battery sled for disposable AA batteries offers additional powering options.
The multi-port desktop charger allows simultaneous charging of the Com-Center and headset batteries.
Operating in the 1900MHz frequency band, reserved by the FCC for "PCS" voice communications, the system requires no FCC license and is certified for use in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
